Respiratory Therapy offers a wide variety of experience. I have worked pratically every area of the hospital using this profession. This field has taken me cross crounty on medical flights to the operating room and through the emergency room. Although this field is not for everyone, I have been very grateful for the experience and the ability to have a job no matter where I move. This includes moving to another country. Everywhere you go, there is a constant need for therapists. Although I love medicine I decide to follow my goal of becoming an attorney.
I decided on Creighton School of Law because of my experience during my undergraduate work. Creighton Law is a great place for an education. The only word of caution that I can offer is the cost factor. If you are thinking about going to law school then I suggest you seriously consider the cost of your school as well as the reputation. However, if you want of balance of theory, practicality and the human experience, then Creighton is the place for you.
After graduation I was promoted at the hospital where I was working as a therapist. I became the Director of Risk Management and Security for Clarkson Regional Health Services in Omaha. It was truly the best job I have ever held until I started teaching. But like most things in life the structure of the corporation changed and my position was eliminated thereby presenting me with the opportunity to move to Kansas City, Missouri.
This is when I started teaching at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, Law School, CLE Department and have been working there ever since. In addition to teaching I have a practice that consists mainly of bankruptcy, municipal clients and now I am venturing out into the cyberworld of law.
